      Refuge is described several ways:

1. Protection from hardship or danger, shelter
2. A place providing support and protection
3. A source of help. comfort, or relief in times of trouble
4. A safe place

It is our desire to join together to seek God's will & direction for our lives, our church, and our community. During this time of Praise and Worship help us to meet the needs of those who come to worship and seek Refuge in God's house.

Refuge meets weekly at 7:00 p.m. on Sundays.  Refuge is led by our Grace Baptist Church praise team, "By Grace".  "By Grace" formed in January, 2005 and has been leading Grace in worship in different services and times.  This service allows for the opportunity for a praise style worship service to grow roots in an otherwise very traditional-style worshipping church.  It is our desire that this service will allow young Christian ministerial students to be given an opportunity to preach God's word and allow God to speak through them. 

The music of the service will open the hearts of those attending and prepare them to receive the message that is prepared for the service.  Music styles that can be expected include songs for Chris Tomlin, such as "How Great Is Our God" and "Holy is the Lord" to Aaron Shust, "My Savior, My God".  Song selections also include arrangements of hymns such as "I Surrender All" and "How Great Thou Art".  Christ is speaking to young songwriters today in such a strong and mighty way and as we share this music together it is our desire that God's name can be glorified!
